Stress and Performance

This line of inquiry can be divided into: (1) examining the nature and consequences of stress on various aspects of officer performance (e.g., de-escalation, officer safety), and (2) applying current research on training under stress to develop evidence-informed in-service training that prepares officers to make appropriate decisions during potentially volatile interactions.
